Aftermarket chrome grill surround questions??

I just bought the Key Parts aftermarket chrome grill surround from GMC Pauls for my 72 and am wondering if any one else has one and what they think of the fit??What did you have to modify to make it look perfect??? It is not a very good repo in my book?

Re: Aftermarket chrome grill surround questions??

I have a Goodmark Repro (triple chrome) on my 72 chev and on the drivers side top corner it does not fit just right. I have seen alot of these chrome grills that dont fit as well as the originals.

Re: Aftermarket chrome grill surround questions??

I have looked at some of the aftermarket chrome grill surrounds and the chrome wasn't very good and I was worried about the fit also. I am thinking of chroming my stock surround instead. its not in bad shape

Are all these the chromed steel ones that came out last year?Or are some talking about original-type repros that are polished & anodized aluminum? The chromed ones aren`t reproductions since there were never oem ones.
