YAA!!! My truck is Alive!!!!
Hi Guys and Gals....
My truck is alive!!! I brought this truck 7 years ago, and have spent those seven years working on this truck a little bit at a time. Sunday was the first time that I started the engine (truck did not run when I brought it), and this morning, I drove it out of the garage and onto the trailer. It is now sitting up on a rack at a local exhaust shop to get full exhaust. Getting 2-1/2" pipes, mufflers, h-pipe, coming out behind the rear tires with 3" chome tips. Hopefully will be done tonight!!! Still have things like power one-peice windows to install, the stereo system built and installed, adjust heater/AC cables, charge the A/C, then off to get custom interior done. Here is a link to an MVI video file of me driving the truck up onto the trailer. (warning, 16 meg file) Video of the truck onto trailer I also wanted to thank Josh and all that help and contribute to this board. I found this board not long after Josh started it, and I have used TONS of info from the many users here to help me with my truck (from how to, new parts, looking for old parts, upgrades like delay wipers from Putter/Church, headlight relay info, ashtray/cup holder, etc....) I could not have gotten this far without the board!!!!! Last edited by John Fabris; 04-03-2006 at 01:33 PM. |

Congrats John! Nice color and I like the 67 2-tone as well. In my seven years year, I've accomplished nothing.

Re: YAA!!! My truck is Alive!!!!
It looks even better in person. Got the priviledge to see it a couple weeks ago. Definitely inspired me. I only hope mine looks half that good. He does good work.

Re: YAA!!! My truck is Alive!!!!
The pics of the truck don't really do it justice. The paint job looks like glass in person. Also it doesn't show all the trick stuff John did on this truck. I was totally impressed with all the work John did on this truck. Way to go John!

Re: YAA!!! My truck is Alive!!!!
Thanks Guys and Rick and Rick...
Still at the exhaust shop, guy working on it keeps getting interrupted by people stopping in and checking out the truck. Even the local cop noticed it. this is the first time that the truck has been out of the garage in seven years! The garage looked so empty, but it gave me the chance to clean garage top to bottom. Made it to bed around 1:00 am, hurting today..... |
