Sport Mirror Help

Can someone tell me where the correct location is for the '72 style sport mirrors?? I have the reproduction kit with the backing plate. Where were these mounted on stock trucks? Is this the best position for them? Measurements appreciated.

Re: Sport Mirror Help

I had my first set located on the second body line but I couldn't get any use out of the passenger side mirror until it was move up to the first. I like them up higher myself even tho they aren't supposed to be there.

Re: Sport Mirror Help

I think you made a good choice. Just experiment with the passenger side mirror and get it where it will do you some good.

Re: Sport Mirror Help

Sweet, thanks... but why doesn't the factory manual tell you how far from the door edge?
