visiting the truck side :)

Got a couple questions. I have happen across a rather cheap GMC pickup. Short bed fleet side, 1972 2wd. I want to lower, and have always seen the coil suspension in back. This glove box door claims it has leaf susp. in the back??? How hard is that to change over to coil? Would it be necessary to change it over to lower it? Lil help guys...

thanks

Re: visiting the truck side :)

There is no need to convert to coil springs to lower the truck.

You have plenty of options...

1) Buy lower leaf springs. Early Classic Enterprises sells a 4 inch drop leaf spring.
2) Drop shackles. Again ECE sells them. You can use them alone or in conjunction with the drop leaf springs for further drop.
3) A spring shop can de-arch your stock leaf springs for you.
