What does an empty Blazer tub weigh?

I need to find out what an empty Blazer tub weighs for a project. Does any one have that info? Or any body weights?
Thanks

How many guys does it take to move it?

I am guessing around 8-900lbs. A cab is about 550lbs and a short bed is in the 450lbs range. A blazer is shorter, does not have a roof, head board for the bed or a back to the cab.

Re: What does an empty Blazer tub weigh?

I was just going to ask, do you want a ballpark figure, or exact, cause I can give you a ballpark...

do I still get to see the sneak peak?

Im a regular sized guy....and me and three others could lift...

I was told about 6-700 pounds....

Now, if there is rust damage, I would suggest more, but depending on how big you are/strong you are...I would say 4 guys min, 6 max

Re: What does an empty Blazer tub weigh?

Before I can say anything I need to update my Senior Member status to Vendor Member($25 per month) status because I was told after being told to join as a regular member($25 per year) that that is now not good enough. So I will get everything set up in the next few weeks or so if that is what this is

Re: What does an empty Blazer tub weigh?

Well if it's any consolation Bob - your diligence in finishing projects is my envy!

I haven't done crap on my rig for 2 weeks! It's sitting engine less - and has been for almost a month! But I do have a TPI setup sitting next to it - I'm hoping it will just get fixed by osmosis - (that's why the TPI is RIGHT next to it)

Re: What does an empty Blazer tub weigh?

Tub weight---depends~~. If we are talking about a stripped body firewall to end of rear quarters with no tailgate, doors, interior, windshield, wireing harness---then it probably weighs about 800 lbs. The floor is heavy as is the double walled firewall, rear quarters. It could have some significant weight if undercoated. Hopefully it has good torsion boxes in place to keep the alignment of the body!!!
