I have my website now...so you can see my truck.
I will take some more pics (hopefully tomorrow) and actually build a site, but for now, this will do I suppose.
I mainly wanted ya'll to see the radio, as it's the newest addition. My kick panels should be here soon, and I can get those speakers put in, and I will be set. http://www.slickorange.com/Truck/truck_index.html Notice the new domain. Shouldn't have any of those "other" problems. I still feel bad about that for all who stumbled on it. |

BTW - those were snapped at a car show at our church - so if you want to see the rest of the pics, here they are for your pleasure.

Re: I have my website now...so you can see my truck.
You aren't missing them - I am working on it.
I actually need a center vent template - anyone want to help a member out? I am going with some Bill. Spec. side vents. The controls aren't in that slide yet either in that pic. I just had gotten that plate made the day before, and got it mounted in the radio hole, so... |

Re: I have my website now...so you can see my truck.
I may still have the template that came with my Vintage Air setup. But you had to fold it over in to the factory radio opening that you don't seem to have.

Re: I have my website now...so you can see my truck.
Nice truck!!! Looks good, if I can make a remark, if you drive in any dust at all, do yourself a favor and lose the Accel air filter. Seen them ruin a couple of motors, even properly oiled, they let dirt in.

The color is literally called "Orange". It is a Valspar color. I searched through TONS of paint books at every paint shop I could find until I came across that one. Thanks for the compliments guys. On the Accel air filter - I don't hit much dust - but I have never heard of the two stage air filters failing. Actually, I have only heard the opposite. Especially since ATV's come stock with them. My Warrior had the same setup basically as the Accel as do most sport ATV's - and they catch more dust than any vehicle - I would think surely that'd be a factory forethought. Amsoil had independant tests run on their filters of that type and they proved to filter smaller microns than K&N's at a better flow rate...I'll try and find that data. Hopefully I can get some good pics up soon, that will show you some real pictures, those don't show much I know... |

Sweet truck, I really like the clean lines. Are those stock blinkers in the grille? They look led, if they are not stock whats the info on them?

Re: I have my website now...so you can see my truck.
for the templates go to Vintage Air's Website and download the instructions for the 67-72 Non-A/C kit and you should be able to print off the template.

I was actually wondering about going with clears on the sides though...what you guys think? Quote:
Just on a side note... I was out and about today - helping build a clubhouse/swingset for my nephews down around seeten's way, and I got caught in a major thunderstorm this evening. It went from those pictures to being driven 10 miles in the hard rain...(good 30 mile round trip blast though). Ehhh - it's just a truck. BTW - the mentioned swingset building and rain pretty much checked me out of taking those pictures "tomorrow" (ie, today!) Last edited by Orange; 05-13-2006 at 09:38 PM. |
