700r4 crossmember

Do the 80's trucks use the same crossmember for TH350 and 700r4?
Mine is slid all the way to the back and doesn't come close to fitting right, originally had a 700, was swapped to a TH 350 and I'm swapping it back to the 700 out of a Caprice wagon.
Can I swap it or do I need to just slide it back and drill new holes?

Re: 700r4 crossmember

I did the same in my 85. Slid it back and found three holes that lined up. I had to drill 5 new ones.
