Setting up shop for a winter engine rebuild.

I'm kicking around some options for setting up shop this winter for working on my truck. I have a smallish 2-stall garage that barely has room for the pickup and our family car and all the usual gararge stuff. The wife is somewhat agreeable to letting the family hauler sit outside for the winter if I need room for a temporary shop. Right now I'm just kicking around ideas in my head about what I need in my shop.

The things that come to mind are:

Work bench - How much bench top area will I need? I don't want to spend big $$$ on this because it will all have to go away when the project is done.

Tool and parts storage?

Lighting?

Electrical outlets?

Temporary Heat - Something that would be fairly cheap to buy and run. Propane? or Kerosene? Rent something or buy?

I will have access to a good engine stand (I think) and an engine jack..

I Plan on farming out the re-build of the short block and heads and doing the heads to block and final assembly myself with the help of you guys and a knowlegeable neighbor (Or at least I think he is!) I also plan on cleaning and detailing the engine and compartment myself before everything goes back together. I'd like to have her road-ready by next spring or early summer.

Any insite you guys can offer or shop needs I am missing please say so.

Tom
