Congratulations !! You should be very proud of yourself. Now get out there and drive and enjoy the truck. ! see you went with the clear front signal light lenses, I have those too and I think they look so much better than the amber ones.

Re: Fast Orange: Rodstoration

Thanks guys! It's still not QUITE roadworthy. Tonight the bedliner was rolled in (long painful job, but worth it) and after that all I have left is a little power polishing, set the timing, tune the carb and get the remaining exhaust bent up for it. I still need an alignment with the new springs, but I plan on driving it a little and letting them settle first. This weekend is the maiden voyage, to where I have no idea, but I'm looking forward to it.

If you want to see this truck in person sometime, it will be in the Majestics car show in Regina the last weekend of April, or at any number of other events around the province.

As for the clear front markers, love em. They blend in really nice with the chrome.

Amazing. Exactly how I want my truck to sit as well. Nice seeing pics of the exact flip kit I'm looking into

Re: Fast Orange: Rodstoration

I'm sure the truck will see Stoon at some point, after all, I built it as a driver.

The paint is an industrial forklift orange. The pictures don't do it justice as to just how orange it really is... I don't have the code handy unfortunately, but it is a PPG Deltron single stage.

Re: Fast Orange: Rodstoration

Well, the test drive went well enough. Tons of torque, decent ride, super quiet inside, drives really nice. Only a few minor glitches to work out, then it's off to the exhaust shop (dumps at the back of the cab at the moment, no mufflers....) Other than that, I guess I can call it done, and I must say it feels great. Keep an eye on the 60-66 section, as my next build is a 64 short fleet, and it will be as far from stock as this 72 is close....

Re: Fast Orange: Rodstoration

Yes, it was an airbrush stencil. It wasn't that wide, and very hard to blend as the edges were just random fragments of bones/webbing. The gauge panel was simple, as the gauges cut into a lot of the blending. The glove box door is bigger with no interruptions, so it was a colossal pain...
