Anyone got trucks working pictures?

The Longhorn was earning its keep over the weekend. I used the LH to pull the car onto the trailer as well. It hauled the car home with no trouble at all, and, I got offered $6500 for the truck last week. Didn't take it, and I'm glad. Anyway, This truck is an ideal work truck, and it's purty. Here's a pic of it with it's burden: Top pic is where I got the car, second is at home.

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

Darn...I hauled two loads of scrap with my 70 half ton today first load was almost 1000lbs and the second was exactly 1800lbs the second load had the rear end sitting on the bump stops and the rear tires looking low. Shoulda snapped a couple pics. Funnty thing is aside from being a little light in the front the truck didn't mind at all.

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

Older shots, but yeah mine work and will work.

The 70 doing yard chores

My old 82 taken over where the 70 left off (after disassembly)

The old 96 GMC helping get the shop ready for the 70 and one of the many trips hauling parts

Don't want to hurt the board showing the Dodge doing much of the same stuff.

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

I love showing these pics. They're from when my uncle still owned my truck and was building his house. The first one is a light load towing a backhoe, the second is the heavy load towing a 30 ton bulldozer...

Build em to drive or don't waste your time! At least that's what I always say. Never owned one that I didn't drive. If I wanted cars to stare at, I would build models!

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

Its my daily driver and still a work truck. I've hauled everything from sand to sailboats over the years. Near the end of the month I have started to screen my calls for people wanting to move. And I can't even count up the number of dump runs I've done. I just wish I had my camera handy when I was hauling salmon heads.

He only had to tow it a few miles, but he said it was a rear white knuckel ride...

Re: Anyone got trucks working pictures?

I had a 4x4 and tried to pull an excavator, about similar or lighter than than bulldozer. All I did was dig tire trenches. I'm surprised that it even moved. It's easy to hitch up to a trailer like that, the trailer has all the weight, but it's another thing to get it rolling. Stopping was easier than I expected because the trailer had its own brakes.
Ive used my pretty Longhorn to haul 6 6500 lb loads of pulpwood, as well as numerous cars and tractors. When I'm done working, I can use the same truck and go to a drive in, or cruise. Still looking for a 12 slide in camper to toss on back for vacations though.
