Re: stupid brake ??????
We rebuild P/30 trucks at work, have been for almost 3 years. One a week. We NEVER bench bleed the master cylinder. Get it all together, fill it up, and open the bleeders. The fronts will start to dribble in a matter of minuits, the rear, can take a while. But, if nothing comes out after an he (while you are finishing up other stuff) then we start doing the old pump and bleed.
The sequence you listed, is not really important anymore. That is left over from decades ago... before our trucks were built, when the master cylinder had one resivour. With the daul resuvour, it doesn't matter. Remember, it is like having 2 seperate brake systems... so it really doesn't matter which you do first. and as far as the left/right thing... one line goes clear back to the rear diff... it really doesn't matter which way it goes first...leftmmm right... doesn't matter. Same for the front. Bolt it up fill it up crack the bleeders clean up your mess close the fronts go eat lunch close the rears pump up system and bleed all 4. Tail lights and tire smoke. (install wheels before the tail lights and tire smoke thing) |
