Another truck followed me home.

For some crazy reason another truck has found it's way to my yard.

A 1969 GMC, picture attached.

Hopefully with parts from the 70 and 72 GMC already on the yard I will have a truck. THIS ONE RUNS!

350 with a 3 speed manual (3 on the tree).

For more pictures click on the Yahoo link in my signature and then 69 GMC. Feel free to look in the other folders as well.

Quick rule of thumb....you can't have too many trucks. Congrats on the new truck.

Congrats on your GMC! Just about every one of these I've seen,(unless it's been restored) is missing an eyebrow.

I use to say that until I got to the point that I have/had too many trucks. When you get to the point that your investments are sitting outside in the weather with no roof over their heads......then you have too many trucks.
I now say " If there is more space in the garage.....you dont have enough vehicles" With that in mind I started building this a few years back and I am about to finish it up.....Everyone should be able to house 20 cars..dont you think?

That is what I was about to say. You never have too many trucks, just not enough room

Re: Another truck followed me home.

Yes, I am hoping with this running one and parts from my other two I can put together a nice driving truck.

I was on the road when I bought it, but talking with the PO it seems it could use a little attention before being driven. No mirrors, windshield is smashed, signal lights do not always work, and the park brake sticks.

I think I am going to pull the wheels off and ckeck the brakes and give it a good once over before putting it back on the road.

But... you don't need ANY of those items to drive home in limp mode.

Looks like a pretty darn good starting point... or even a finishing point really.
