I need to find out who would have parts for this case, mainly gaskets. If I drop it might as well freshin it up.

When I went thru mine, The only gaskets I remember where the PTO covers & the top. I just RTV'd them. All of the seals that I replaced, I just ran to stores to find.

How about where the shims are behind the pto cover, did you rtv those as well? Does yours whine while driving also? Thanks for the info! Jeremy

Mine whines when I drive it. I made gaskets for mine. I also replaced all the seals and a local transmission parts house had all the seals when I took in the old ones.

BTW - mine leaks about as much now as before. I didn't put any thread sealant on the various bolts and that probably was a mistake.

Is there anything you can do about the whining? or is that the way they are? Hopefully I'll remember to put sealent on the threads! Thanks for the info.

They whine due to being gear driven. I imagine you could try a synthetic gear oil to see if that quiets it down.

MIne whines, but it's less when I have the correct amount of fluid in it... The stupid little one way valve in the top blows out a lot of my fluid (at least that's where I think it gets out). I keep saying i'm going to get a barbed fitting for it, and run a hose like on my axles...

I didn't have any shims behind the PTO covers... IIRC

I guess mine needed the shims for correct clearance or something like that. Wonder if I can rtv a thin layer between each shim? Might try it. Yea that might work out to help stop blowing the oil out.
