Opinions wanted on wheels...same size or staggered

I am curious as to whether you guys think the 73-87 trucks and Blazer/Jimmy's look better with same diameter wheels (such as 20s front and rear)or the staggered look( say 19/20s or 20/22's )Which in your opinions look best on these trucks when they are lowered? I am not going to bag the 75 Jimmy other than maybe a helper setup like is on the back of it now. I intend to stay with a static drop and trying to get a game plan figured out before I actually start on it.

Thanks
Brad

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels...same size or staggered

Brad it's just my opinion but I would go with same size wheels and consider staggering your tire height. I tried the 18/20 combo on my 82 Blazer the first time around. It looked great when aired out but didn't look right at ride height.

Certain trucks (and cars) looks good with the wheel sizes staggered, but it doesn't work on the 73-87 due to the large front wheel opening.

I agree. If anything staggered on the rims it would be the wheel width. Not all the time but sometimes larger width in the rear seems to help fill up the empty space in the rear wheel bay.

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels...same size or staggered

With all of the new trucks these days coming with OE 20's, there are a ton of tires available pretty reasonably. I would put the same diameter wheel, and stagger the tire sizes.

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels...same size or staggered

Thanks for the replies guys. I think that will be the better way to go ....same diameter but with slightly larger tire out back.

BTW Jon thought you had already sold the 77/73 Blazer....maybe I need to pm you if my 95 ever sells lol. Sold a Conquest to a guy today in Garland and just got back from delivering it. Done anything else to the 77?

Re: Opinions wanted on wheels...same size or staggered

yes and no. 76K5Chalet (Doug) is going to buy it, but the logistics haven't been working out for either of us. The truck is still in Austin.I had (almost) everything at our shop down there, but we decided not to renew our lease. We put pretty much everything we didn't sell off into storage, and my Blazer went to a friends storage lot. After everything that went on with my divorce, I just haven't really felt like playing with trucks much.
