I agree a flat spade style connection on the distributor body. Use a mirro and flashlight to see it. I mounted my tach just above the dash on the "A" pillar, by using a flat piece of aluminum stock from a hardware store and one of the screws that was already on the post (holding the plastic trim). If you don't have the trim drill a 1/8" hole and match the strap to the hole. I cut the end of the strap (that went up by the windshield rubber at the same angle as the rubber and then used that rubber as the brace for the other end. By doing it this way, all I had to deal with was the one hole in the post. I then drilled two holes in the strap and mounted the tach to the strap just above the dash pad. I then ran the wire down through the dash (by the windshield rubber and there was only about a four inch piece of wire exposed.
