Is that just for "WOW" factor, or is there a reason?

Wink Re: custom backhalf C4 IRS and Front suspension

Well, both, the rear is getting about 10 inches of lift. The front set up the "normal" way would only get about 7 inches of lift. This way there will be a full 10 inches of lift in the front. It should come together this weekend. More pics to follow... Plus, it is just going to look sick as well....

This setup wont be any harder than the original setup. This just changes the lift ratio.

Re: custom backhalf C4 IRS and Front suspension

As to any issues with balljoints, there shouldnt be any as all this does is give the front end more lift. The angles have remained the same in regards to the ball joints. I still have to box the front frame rails and there will be a cross piece going from shock/bag tower hoop to the oposite side that will be removeable for future needs to pull the big block.

Re: custom backhalf C4 IRS and Front suspension

Saying goodbye to pieces of the firewall....we will see how much more it changes as we go...

There is going to be a removeable support from hoop to hoop going over the front of the motor....again, this is just R&D....

How far away are the bags from the headers? Looks pretty close. Wonder how much heat those bags can take...

Re: custom backhalf C4 IRS and Front suspension

To me it all looks good except the bar that the shockwave attaches too.. I see there is a killer tube front crossmember built and a killer rear frame section but that hoop just looks plain? I dont know how you would really dress it up but compared to the rest of the work is just looks like it was tossed on there? just my opnion though
