Working my way to the rear...needs some modification.At the t/c it seems to angle down to far, Mieneke said he could bend it up about 1 1/2", this should bring it to the point that it runs level to the frame. Clamps might arrive from NAPA today. SS preformed strap clamps
Gotta go check out some 50 series flows, and clean up all that crap on the crossmember to see how I want to mount them up Still have to design and build my 'H' pipe, looking at the location where I want it, it might have to be built out of 2"

Started to put the front of the motor back together. Knocked the tube out of the drivers side manifold, drilled and tapped for plug(11/32" drill, 1/8"-27 nfpt tap). BTW, I didn't tap it with the manifold on the engine
I have to rotate 1/2 of the alternater housing to get the plugs for the wiring to align to the outside and build another 'L' bracket to clear the fan blade. Getting ready to start on the drivers side exhaust pipe, then it's time to hang the core support to get the radiator and battery in it...also want to prime and spin the oil pump to see how things work Finally got the pass. side door to line up better, just alittle more tweeking once the fenders are on. Thank You, it's been a love hate relationship, but seeing the end in site is rather rewarding. I just hope some of the youngings learned a thing or two, alot of valueable information available from a lot of talented people on this site. In reading different threads I have gained insight

Rockcrln told me about this stuff called body wax, I want to put it inside all enclosed cavities,rocker boxes, 'A' post, and body mount. Not sure of the cowl vent area, but I have seen guys have problems in that area. I would like to make a tube in that area to drain it away from the rear of my front fenders
BTW YJ, that was a great greeting card Not big into Nitros, but a beer or two might hide there

Not much happened over the Holidays on the truck, but things have calmed down, so I ordered some parts from Jeg's and now have to wait...
Did some painting on the door frame so I can rehang the door, and dum-dumed all the seams. Up on the cowl had some original sealer and after removal it had rust underneath, so I'm glad I took the time.. PO used a can opener for the antenna wire access.... Heres some pics...

Na, it was on top of the parts pile and kinda shiny, I might use it to hide my headlite relays. I have to investigate the one wire system for my altinator, not sure how to do it yet!
Thanks Stinker, the parts just fell in my lap, so I had to try it

For a perspective from the rust belt...that cab looks already restored to me. j/k, but seriously, it hardly warrents a complete floor replacement. Is the cost of the sheetmetal and labor to replace a complete floor cheaper or easier than just patching those areas that need it? Even after the floor is done, cab corners and rockers and maybe lower pillars, etc. will still need work in most rusted cabs.
