disc brake conversion for 3/4 ton 4x4

Anyone have any information or suggestions for performing a disc brake conversion on a 3/4 ton 4x4. Truck in question is a 1969 with a small block and 4 spd. manual. Not sure about front axle/diff. maufacturer, Dana I suppose? Anyway, any information would be greatly appreciated.

Heres a pretty good write up in the FAQ section. There is a bunch of good stuff in there that will probably give you a reason to sink more money in your truck. Good luck with it

Do it! Any Dana 44 front from a Chevy/GMC will work up to the mid 80's trucks.
I used one from a 75 in mine. Disc Brake lines and new U-bolts are a must but you will never look back once it's done. I can now do u-turns on a wide street... something not even attempted with the old closed knuckle axle.

Something like this? Only drawback is no emergency brake.

I thought you meant rear discs at first. On the front, with your year,it`s easiest to swap the axle assembly like AmericanRider did.You can buy an assembly pretty reasonable. The later 10-bolt axles will swap as well.
