Source for 2005 Chevy Truck Beds?

I backed into a telephone pole and barely bumped it. Didn't think much about it til I got home and saw the damage. The bumper was bent into the lower part of the bed and there was a ripple alongside the passenger side bedside. I think they use tin now instead of metal. I think buying a new bed for it would be cheaper than fixing this. Does anyone know a company close to Dallas that sells take off beds for these trucks? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ernie

Check locally for companies that install utility boxes on new trucks. They have plenty of them

Usually aftermarket truck modifiers (utility, Rail road applications, etc.) are located within a short distance from the manufacturing plant. So check out the closest GM truck plant and you will probably find a modifier that has a yard full of beds.

Re: Source for 2005 Chevy Truck Beds?

Beds are crazy for these trucks, unless you have a longbed. Then you still have to paint the bed, regardless. The last bed I bought for a shortbed was $2000, and it needed a little cleanup, but did have a gate. I may be able to help yuou either way, though. Can you post a picture of the damage?
