any Idea's on the 327 I jest bought
Jest bought a 327 that sat in a hay mow for 20 years , was told it was out of a 66 Convertable , with air. has a 2 barrel carb , air cleaner , now the funny part , after I cleaned the grease off the valve covers It read 275 HP , I thought someone changed them over the years . checked the block & head #'s at MorTec came up with 65-67 , 327 Block & #3782461 Heads - Camel Hump With no Accesory Holes, Could it be a 275 Hp & how can I tell , Schoudn't it be a 4 Barrel?

yup probably the 275 HP one...that was 1966 HP though..the 461s probably have 1.94 valves..they are good heads..pull the valve covers and see if they have screwed in studs..if they do.. they are 2.02 heads ...the base 327 was 250HP I think.or 225..they had a 300HP one too

If it has screw in studs, it should also have guide plates & a nut face will be on the stud above the guide plate....

On the 250,275,& 300 hp engines nothing is different on the bottom(just heads & carb.....& single or dual exhaust). There was an L79 350 hp(hyd cam), a 365 hp (solid cam), & a 375 hp (solid cam & fuel injection)......these all had domed pistons & big valves. the first 3 mentioned all had flat top pistons & the same hyd cam........longhorn

GOOD FIND
What is the # behind the drvs. side head on the block? I took 1 out of a Massy 510 combine last year it only has 1 set of valve relief on each piston .
