Most came with 235/85-16E, a few had 245/75-16E depending on bodystyle equipment. The Blazers had 31/10.50-15's,(10.00-15) on15x8 wheels.

12" suspension, 3" body. 44" gumbos they would rub with the wheels turned full lock when flexed.

Re: 73-87's Tire / Lift size chart (WILL IT FIT?)

i have put about 4 inches of lift on my truck and have had about every size of tire from 33 to now 42. the 42 got into the firewall even though i moved the axle 1.5 foward so now i'm running 39.5. they fit perfect with all the fender trimming i've done .

84 K10 SWB Diesel

29x9.5xR15 Stock Suspension

I have no clue how it could EVER rub!

When these tires need replacements I'm getting

33X9.5R15
Load Range C
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO

Re: 73-87's Tire / Lift size chart (WILL IT FIT?)

Ive got an 82 Sierra classic with a 2.5 in lift (new front leaf springs and blocks in the back) it currently has 31s on the original wheels. i would love to try to stuff 35s under it but i dont think theyll fit. should i try to fit the 35s or play it safe with 33s?

35s would look horrible to me. 33x12.50 might not be bad. It looks great as is

Re: 73-87's Tire / Lift size chart (WILL IT FIT?)

I'm wanting to run 37x13.5x20 on a 20x12 wheel, 6" lift w/1 zero rate in front moving the front axle forward also. Any ideas if this will rub with just around town driving? This truck will be on the street 98% of the time so I'm not real worried about flexing it much. I'm thinking I might be a little wide not to rub

Oh and its a '90 K30 crew cab

thanks

Re: 73-87's Tire / Lift size chart (WILL IT FIT?)

Yes they will.
These are 37x12.50 on 10 inch wheels rubbed. 6 inch and a zero rate. I had to cut the front of the fender off and some of the rear for clearance.
Yours will likely rub alot.

Re: 73-87's Tire / Lift size chart (WILL IT FIT?)

I figured so, thanks for the info. I was hoping the taller frame of the 1 ton and the zero rate would be enough. I hate when tires rub, guess I'll go with a 325-60-20 .

thanks again

Re: 73-87's Tire / Lift size chart (WILL IT FIT?)

The one ton frame is lower in the belly of the truck. Not the firewall forward. It is also heavier so it could sit lower than my blazer did.

Re: 73-87's Tire / Lift size chart (WILL IT FIT?)

Ok guys, I'm new to the forum as well as the whole lifted truck scene. My son and I are doing a complete frame off with a 1977 chevy short wide k10. We added a rough country 4" suspension lift. Yesterday I dropped the bed onto the frame to just get an idea of what I was going to look like. this is it. Those are 31X10.5 15s. Is it me or does that look WAY taller than it should? Granted the cab, motor, tranny aren't on the truck but still....the top of the bedrails are at 64" on 31" tires. I attached a pic. Let me know if you can see it or not.
