Yes, it sounds as if your hose is is breaking down inside Gates fuel pcv eec hoses I have noticed are really bad about doing that. I had brand new hoses on my truck they did not last 2 months and were coming apart on the inside, and cracking apart on the outside, when I touched them it would turn my hands black. I switched to another Gates brand hose called LOLA awesome stuff I have not had a problem since!! It will also handle tranny fluid and motor oil too.
