Just put a 1411 (750 w elec choke) on my 396. Went one size richer on the primary rods, but I'm a tinkering type and I'm used to holleys

Might have to change the accel-pump linkage position too. But these things are VERY easy to change. So far I'm pretty happy with it. Once it's dialed I'm sure I'll be very happy with it.

The intakes are great,so are the carbs for daily drivers.I got the elite air cleaner and valve covers for the bigblock and the only complaint with them is the metal allen bolts tend to rust. I had a real problem with the cast aluminum timing chain cover for BBC from edelbrock, it comes with the timing tab, the wrong one. I had several mechanics look at it and they agreed it didn't fit the thicker cast cover. I had the parts house order another to check but same time tab. I just got an adjustable pointer for $30 and all was ok.

That is the pair I put on my 350 crate this year in my 69 SWB. Runs great.

Ditto here, same engine/intake/carb setup on my 350 Goodwrench crate motor.

I've been a diehard Holley user for years, and the Edelbrocks are MUCH simpler to tune IMHO.

I have the exact same combo in my truck and have not had a single problem in the three years since I put it in. My dad has loved Holleys since he knew what a carb was, when he bought his 67 GTO from the dealership, he drove it straight the speed shop and picked up a Holley for it. When he saw how easy my Edelbrock was to get adjusted right and the fact that I never had to mess with it, he threw the Holley on a shelf and ordered an Edelbrock. And he is the only person I've ever know that could tune a Holley by ear better than you could with an O2 sensor.

Had em both. Holley is for racing and Edelbrock is for driving. On a basically stock engine there is no tuning required on an edelbrock. (except for idle mix and speed) Lotsa tuning on a Holley but they run like crazy!
