Steering rag joints ....
Is there a difference in the manual rag joints and the power steering rag joints?
If so, what is the I.D. size of the two where they attach to the steering box. Thanks! |

Re: Steering rag joints ....
Fair enough ... let me ask this: Is the manual steering coupler/rag joint's I.D. size bigger than the power steering unit?
I have one that I could have sworn came off a power steering system, but the I.D. seem to be waaay big. Thanks Again. |

Re: Steering rag joints ....
You can find repair kits at Napa and the others on their "help" boards. That is what we used on my sons blazer.

Re: Steering rag joints ....
Ok guys here is what I found from the lmc truck catalog, I know some of the stuff is wrong but I will asume it is right until corrected. They have the whole new rag joints, listed as follows.
34-0745 coupler- shaft ( rag joint) 67-69 note D- 39.95 note D= Without integeral power steering 34-0746 coupler shaft ( rag joint) 68-72 note E - 49.95 note E= With integeral power steering 34-0747 coupler shaft ( rag joint) 70-72 w/o power steering- 49.95 So I would say yes they are different. But this is my best info avaliable. Hope this helps. Aaron |
