Carbon suppression plug wires

I just want to relate to you all the experience I went through with a set of Autozone's $36 spark plug wires. I have chased an intermittent miss on my Ford daily driver for some time... It all started with a simple tune-up new plugs cap and rotor and the Autozone wires, reset timing to factory spec. Man, she ran great after that for about 2 weeks and then she started to miss, would come and go, mostly when the weather was damp or raining and sometimes when it was bone dry. I chased electrical connectors and grounds, "misted" the wires and distributor with a spray bottle while running, I couldn't for the life of me seduce the gremlin to show his ugly head. I had replaced the module, distributor pickup, (2) cap and rotors sets, inspected and reinspected the plug wires many times for evidence of burning and/or arcing, they looked perfect. I was pulling out hair by the fist full by this time. Finally a new set of Accel Superstock spiral core wires did the trick.
Bottom line and lesson learned, no more carbon core radio suppression wires for me.
