What's behind your seat?
It doesn't matter if it's a bunch of old mcdonalds wrappers or some old socks & a flashlight, I just thought this might be kind of fun. I didn't know what was behind my seat until I replaced my seat recently, I knew the stereo sounded awsome, & had amazing bass, but i didn't know there was all this back there, no wonder it felt like I was getting a back massage when I really cranked up the tunes.

I myself have two 10" subs and an 800 watt amp waiting to be installed
But I have to move the gas tank first

Re: What's behind your seat?
I don't have pictures but I have my air tank and all of the solenoids back there. I am thinking about glassing them in with a sub box.
That is a sharp looking the way they did your speakers. |

Re: What's behind your seat?
The JL's are 10" they just look small in that angle, the 2 mids are MB quart 6.5" , I know Car Toys installed it all, not sure if they made the enclosure or not, It's a shame to hide it, especially with the big chevy emblem built in.

Re: What's behind your seat?
I can look up the receipt, I do know the "glass" headlights weren't cheap, I think like $90 a piece or something crazy like that, the bulbs are aftermarket I think like $20, & they are very bright! The old ones are sylvania silver stars if that tells ya anything, I really like em, when their off, they make the whole headlight look blue, but the only thing thats blue is the bulb itself, I think it looks cool & match's the blue emblem on the grill, the rest is all reflection, at night their not really blue, but very intense white!

Two 12" subs with 800 watt amp running at 2 ohms. Gives a good massage after a day at the shop.

Re: What's behind your seat?
Two very crappy 3x5 speakers, a scissor jack, a fire extinguisher, a collapsible 4 way lug wrench, 2 cloth diapers, a bag with spare airline and fittings, and the middle seat belt...

Re: What's behind your seat?
That looks nice. I am doing either a raised bow tie, or recessed, I haven't decided. Once I have my amp (haven't decided that either), then I will lay it out. I need to ditch the tank first, but that is very soon I hope.

Re: What's behind your seat?
Behind my seat is a gas tank, and well uh.....a bunch of mcdonalds receipts
Seriously though, in my '78 I had a pair of JL audio 8" subs and to this day, they hit harder and sounded better than anything I've EVER heard. And that was about 10 years ago. Nice set up. You're making me want to relocate my tank!! |

Re: What's behind your seat?
Like many others, a gas tank. Not very exciting, but functional.

Re: What's behind your seat?
wow, lots of gas tanks, I'm surprised a little, the mini 14 is a nice touch. I have an 18 gallon polished stainless steel fuel cell bolted down in the front of the bed, who knows maybe it helps give me a little more traction, I don't haul much except for....

Re: What's behind your seat?
A vacant area where the gas tank will be reinstalled after the inside of the cab is painted.
