Re: 305 specs

You could brouse around on-line or most public libraries have paper manuals such as "How to Rebuild your Small Block Chevy", "How to Hotrod your Small Block Chevy", etc that are a great source of info and inspiration. Have fun!

I have been working on the wifes Olds Cruiser with a E-305 and got all the info from the library, Chiltons, etc.
I was quite surprised that it is rated at 270 hp.

Re: 305 specs

Its like $20, and once youve bought it, its yours, no wasting gas to go to the library . That, and the book for your truck covers like 20 years!

Five bucks on ebay

Re: 305 specs

The Haynes books usually do a great job of this, and then there's the factory overhaul books as well.

I wouldn't bore anything until you inspect the block...
