Interest in 86

My neighbor's grandson rolled his truck and is selling it. Will get pics tomorrow. Since this is not my normal age range, just wanting to know if there would be interest. Looks like just the cab roof is crushed. Front clip may be good and possibly the bed.

Look at the wheels. It's a 2500 so it's a long bed.

Looks like it has lots of good parts. Please post a price when you can...

Re: Interest in 86

If you do end up getting it, i am interested in the door panels if there is no chalking and very few scratches. Would also need lower door carpet.

He is down to $1,500, from $1,750, but hoping to get closer to $1,000. I am out in Santa Barbara til the 15th and told him to call me when he is ready to talk lower. Will keep you posted.

Judging only by what you have said about it and the pictures, even at $1000 it seems pretty steep?
Does it have a low mileage engine or something?

Localy a 2wd truck of that vintage in good shape wouldn't go for too much more than the $1750 he was asking.

But I understand prices change in different parts of the country.

I'd be interested in the front bumper, minus the bumperettes!

Re: Interest in 86

It sounds a little high to me also. You would have to sell a lot of parts to get your money back and all the work taking apart. It would really have to be a "honest" low milage truck with all parts would have to be in great shape. but as said "could be where you are" MO

Re: Interest in 86

Sorry, not sure what happened to my post. I posted when I got back from my trip and said the truck was gone when I got home. So he must have gotten his price. Thanks for the responses.
