Has anyone ever removed the pressed on power steering pump pully? How do you do this? Mine is from an 87 truck with a serpintine pully and I need to put on a V-belt pully. I would like some input before I start putting it on the press. Is the allen head on the end of the shaft something that needs to come off first? Thanks.

you need ot go get a pulley puller tool, its special for p/s pump pullies only and even with this tool its a pain in the ^%$#@! to get the pulley off, is easier to do with pump mounted on engine or something stationary.
good luck |

A little trick I used is with the puller (Avail at Napa) use a hose clamp around the puller clamps to keep them from flexing. Then with air if availl it comes off pretty easy... My .02 Jack
