anybody bagged with 22's
Looking for pics of trucks with 22's with tire size info and any info about clearance issues. I'm contemplating between 20's and 22's. If I go with 22's, i'm thinking a 31" tall tire is the max I would go. The 20" wheel I like has a 5 bolt pattern, and the 22" wheel has a 6 bolt pattern. Is there an advantage of 5 bolt vs. 6 bolt if I am going to convert to all discs from my drums anyway?
thanks, josh |

Re: anybody bagged with 22's
Yeah. It's a photochop though. My truck is getting bagged as we speak. The wheels will get mounted when the alignment is set.

Re: anybody bagged with 22's
Here is a photoshop I did. I'm having a very hard time finding a wheel I like. The wheels in this pic is what I'm looking for, but those actual rims have been discontinued and do not come in 5x5 bolt pattern anyway. I'm looking for a chrome 20" 5 spoke where the spokes are flat and straight with a deep dish. Anybody know of anything out there?

Re: anybody bagged with 22's
That's a horrible color choice! Don't you think you should go with something completely different?

How much of a 'Z' does he have? Good looking truck . . ..... even before the "re-paint".

Re: anybody bagged with 22's
XXL, the blue truck I just grabbed to put the wheels on. Although I'm not going to paint mine that color, I couldn't quite figure out if you were being sarcastic or not?? Care to elaborate?
Thanks for posting those wheels. I like those boze rims but they are polished aluminum. I just sold my 20" Boyds and told myself I would never buy polished aluminum again. Last edited by jlaird; 12-30-2006 at 07:20 PM. |

Re: anybody bagged with 22's
i wouldn't go any taller than a 265/35/22 if your gonna bag it. thats a 29.3" tall tire. any bigger and you'll have to do alot more cutting. that size tire on 22's does well.

For the Boze's on my Tahoe, I've even contemplated getting them chromed (I need to send 2 of them back to Boze for a re-hoop, so they can chrome them then. We'll see.).

Re: anybody bagged with 22's
1loc10, are those the boze octanes on your photoshop? Wish they were chrome.
XXL, yea one of the last things I tried before selling those wheels was the powerball. It worked better than I thought it would, but still overall a PITA. |

Re: anybody bagged with 22's
Here's a similar wheel in chrome. I have a set on my 06 CC and they are very easy to clean....
