bobbed and chopped burb

well made some good progress on my buddys burb, picked up a d60 from a 89 3500 truck and the back of the cab yesterday. and today got the roof cut off behind the 4th doors and and took 25 inches out behind the wheel. tomarrow it will have the back of a cab welded in on a slight angle and a midwall as well. and by the end of the week should have a 10 inch lift and 38 inch tires and a d60 in the front with a crossover steering.
hers some starter pics.

Ok I understand the amount of work going into this rig, but what is the purpose? I have seen Blazer tops put onto the rear of burbs looks really cool. So what is the purpose for this modification? My curiosity is really peaked.

I have wanted to do just that since I was in high school. Definately post more pics! Please tell me you are going to put a truck tail and gate on it with a tucked up blazer/burb bumper ! Oh and a 89-91 front!

it has barn doors now, and there getting welded in and around and center weled shut. but will be cut similar like aftermarket 5th wheel tailgates. and the reason for the bob and cutting off the back half is overhang, and just for fun. i think after its lifted and setup it will look really cool. and he only paid 500.00 for it so what the hell.

Yup, that's the best reason of all, just 'cuz you can. The gray one's cool. Your's looks a bit longer in back, will probably make it look a little bet better overall. I like the gray one but it is a bit out of proportion.

Re: bobbed and chopped burb

hey any updated photos?

i am interested to see how this ends up. I have my rear floor out need
1/4 panels and was thinking about something like this or get a rear cab wall from a pick up and making a crew cab short bed.

let me know.
