Project Betty
I went yesterday and picked up my $700.00 truck, for now to be "Betty".
All went good she started right up and loaded under her own power, after a jump start. Here are the pics from when I brought here home. Last edited by N2TRUX; 02-09-2007 at 10:02 PM. |

Re: Project Betty

actually thats as bad as it was inside from rust, decent for a 35 yr old truck. little more underneath though. here's some of the redneck work I found nice crossmember don't ya think? It's got a brand new fuel tank, to bad I won't be using it. Next, off with the front clip |

tell me if this is too much anybody want a free flex fan? ha ha j/k redneck throttle linkage Motor out The guy must have just taken a grungie old motor and put on an edelbrock intake, carb and valve covers. The motor is plain ole nasty. the valve covers were rusty on the outside but like brand new inside intake as well. guess thats it for now, next is the front crossmember and suspension change. Re: Project Betty
Looks like a fun project. Just an FYI for ya, If you are looking to get money for the parts you are pulling off, you will need to pay the $25 and become a site suporter other wise the mods will catch wind and boot your thread.

Re: Project Betty
Like all the ladies in our lives, Betty's going to cost you a pretty penny by the time she's got you where she wants you.
I see she's already moved in and is now encroaching on your calendar and wallet. What's next?

Re: Project Betty
it was, but it's mostly just dirt. the guy i got it from said its from a 73-87 chevy so it won't work for me anyway. Besides its got a chevy emblem sewn it the back, whoever did it di a poor job.
I imagine if steam cleaned and stiching of the emblem removed it would be a good seat

5 years later, you will be broke, busted knuckles, and a bad back, but will look out the window and say...DA*N that's a nice truck...
