how much of a Z?

how far do i need to z the frame on a 71 suburban to get it to lay? i have ART arms and 2 1/2" drop spindles. the tires are 29" tall

Notch 1.5 " out of your engine crossmember. Thats the route im going. I dont want to Z the frame.

Sorry. You deserve a straight answer to a simple question. I just saw your other components and thought it would be a perfect match.

As far as the Z goes I've read most guys don't go more than 2.5". Ask in the suspension forum and you'll get some good feedback.
