Re: Rear Dana 60 vs. 14 Bolt

Yep, have you ever seen the pinion gear for an Eaton? Its around 2" o.d. of the splines, freaking HUGE! Plus the axleshafts are much larger, and so is just about everything else.

Re: Rear Dana 60 vs. 14 Bolt

Oh yeah,I`m well versed on the Eaton, not much experience the w/14-bolt.Thanks for the answers.I was just wondering how the rest of the 4x world ranked them.I have a 4.10 under oe truck I just recently installed an original locker in.I have a set of K/30 axles for it,but figured I`d only use the D60 up front and leave my Eaton.Just checking if I`m nutz.lol

Re: Rear Dana 60 vs. 14 Bolt

I am using the Eaton in both of my 4x's 4.56 locker in the GMC and 4.10 locker in the 68 Chevy. Around here they use the Eaton over the 14 bolt for truck pulls. I believe a 4.10 is as high as was offered in the Eatons though.
