Question on battery cable lengths??

I have a 1970 Chevy Blazer and would like to order some custom battery cables, but I am temporarily disabled and have no way of removing the current cable to get a measurment of the length of them. Does anyone have a 70 Blazer and know what lengths the cables are?

I saw stock replacement ones in lengths of 63" for the positive and 22" for the negative, and then another site that varied from 48"-65" for the positive and 35" for the negative. The positive one is the measurement I need the most though right now being that I cannot get to it. The Blazer is stock and has a top post battery with a V8 engine if that helps.

Thanks for any help on this.

Re: Question on battery cable lengths??

If you mean the Positive battery cable going from the battery to the starter...I'd go with the 48",should get you there.

If you want to be safe get a 60".

You could just make your own.
I used 2gauge welding cable to make mine.

It's usually under $2.00/ft and the copper ring terminals you most likely get at the same place you get the welding cable from.

Here's how mine turned out.
