Re: California/Legal Issues/No Projects?

That cover is the key skokie, and a wise move on your part. It takes an anal neighbor (with way too much time on their hands) to make a complaint, then some little s*&t will come out to give you notice etc.
There was also a program, which may still be active, where they would pay you like $750 to junk an old vehicle. I turned in my '63 fleet because it was real smoky and I bought it 3 years earlier for $500. I honestly couldn't look at all the really nice old classics being crushed there,I had to look away.

Re: California/Legal Issues/No Projects?

I go home and red the letter tonight and it basically outlines the code violation. In short, you can't have a vehicle in your driveway without driving it for MORE THAN 10 days. Maybe I should put it behind the gate saturday, and then back in the driveway sunday for exactly 10 days, then behind the gate for a day, then back. Maybe even a big cardboard sign on the windshield that says...DAY 1...DAY 2...DAY 3. That outta win me some friends.

The problem is it's not just California. Most cities all across the country have simular laws on the books.

Definately need to lobby against this. They make so you can't preserve anything.....then they'll regret in the end.
