Hello All and a Question

I'm in the process of selling my 05 Wrangler and I found a 1967 C-10 to replace my jeep with. I feel its a good price but I thought I''d see what you guys thought. Here's the info.

Rebuilt 350 cu w/Holly Four Bbl. Interior has been restored - New Carpet, New Upholstery, New Radio, New Glove Box, New Mirror; Undercarriage & Frame is Rust Proof; Two Sets of Tires & Wheels - One Set of Chrome Mags & Other Set are the Original Tires; New Chrome Bumpers; Paint is 5 Years Old; Has a Bedliner; New Inspection
· Accident Free
· Clean
· Garage Kept
· Non Smoker

$6000.00 bucks, He's sending me the engine and interior shots this weekend. Does this sound over priced?

Re: Hello All and a Question

looks very sharp. pricey, but you probably have an instant driver with no work to be done (it can be worth paying a little more to avoid some headaches).

plus, 6000 for a running vehicle that looks that good isn't bad. i'd buy it. definitely offer him less, though

and welcome. others will give you more experienced advice than i can

Welcome to the board!

A little high, but not an unreasonable price in my opinion. I'd have to see it in person and do a really thorough inspection. Make sure that paint job and bedliner aren't hiding anything.

I've always liked the C-10's and 6k is what I have to buy a truck, I cant find anything newer in good shape for this price, of the C-10's is this a sought after model?

Re: Hello All and a Question

welcome to the board// i think the price is a bit on the high side/ i hope you also understand that these older trucks do require ALOT more maintenance and upkeep then modern vehicles and dont run drive and stop like modern vehicles that have power and disc brakes

I hear ya, I've had my share of older vehicles. I remember driving my CJ with brakes that would work 50% of the time. I had to drive my Mini from Rome to Naples ( I was Stationed in Naples) with out any brakes at all, I had to use the E-brake to slow down. It was a disaster.

Re: Hello All and a Question

Where is the truck located? Can you look at it in person. A lot of rides look nice in pics, but not so nice in person. The good news is that if the paint is 5 years old, any rust or bondo problems should have surfaced by now. I actually prefer to buy older restorations, I stay away from the "fresh paint" ads.

Price? I think 6K is fair for something that appears to be that nice, although I personally wouldn't pay more than around 5K for it.

All 67-72's chevys are "sought after" now-a-days, but that truck appears to be a no frills longbed, which is not as desirable as a loaded shortbed.

It's a nice truck. Check it out in person and see if they'll knock a grand off it. Cash talks.

Re: Hello All and a Question

Does everything thing smoothly?
Is the cab ride quiet at 60 MPH?
What does the rockers and cab supports lok like form the underside?
Is it restored or simply painted?

I already have 6K in mine and it does not look that good. And each time I touch something there are a couple other things that need fixed or adjusted...and I have not even got to the body.

Check it out very tightly.

It is worth what you are willing to pay for it. No one ever gets back all they have put into one, and 6K is not a bad place to start.

Anyone know what color that is? I love that subtle green!

The truck is in Berks County PA. I'm gonna take a ride up this weekend or next weekend to look at it before I make a decision.

Re: Hello All and a Question

Welcome from Maryland! That looks like a very nice truck, but before I would spend that kind of money on it, I would look it over.If it truly is as nice as the pics show, then I don't think the price is too bad. Maybe you can haggle a bit too.... Good Luck!

Re: Hello All and a Question

If it's as good in real life as it looks, go for it - very easy to get 6 grand into a truck.

Re: Hello All and a Question

If it is as nice as it appears (and I really like how it looks by the pics!) I think the price isn't too bad. I hope it turns out to be as advertised and ends up in garage. It would look real good in my garage for sure!

Re: Hello All and a Question

I'll see what I can do with the price, I dont think it has AC but i'll ask. Did the 67's come with AC?

Not typically, but it was an option.

Re: Hello All and a Question

Nice truck, I'd offer him 5k and he will probably come back and split the difference with you at $5,500, not a bad price. A paint job alone will cost you anywhere from $500 if you do it yourself to 5K professionally. I say go for it if mechanically it runs good.
