What do you think of my Buddy Buckets

These seats originally came with my 4 Door CrewCab. Initially I was going to sell them, but I decided I would use them for my 69 Suburban I'm building. The first picture is what the seats looked like when I got them. I just got them back from the upholsterer. He did an awesome job! I bought a new set of foams from PICKMUP and he custom made the covers. Black vinyl with black and white houndstooth. I also had him put in some seat warmers, (http://www.warmseats.com/) .

It get's a little chilly in North Florida. Well, chilly for me, LOL. Plus, they will make a great heating pad for my back after a long day of flying.

Sakohntr, don't you know there are days in Florida when the AC is just a tad bit too cold. That's where the seat warmers come in handy.

Re: What do you think of my Buddy Buckets

Those look great!!!!!!!!! Wish I had a truck that was nice enough to put them in. I know it gets cold enough here in Winters to use the warmers! What is nice about that seat patern is it is so small that most people won't even notice he laded the patern in the wrong direction.

Thanks Kevin, you just had to but a damper on my excitement, . I never noticed the direction before, I guess I should have paid more attention. Oh well, I only paid a grand to get all 5 seats done, I suppose I can live with that.

Re: What do you think of my Buddy Buckets

Looks great. I'm considering which seats to use in my 69's interior overhaul and yours gives me a nice example to choose from. Thanks.

I do have one safety caution though. Those heater wires (if you're planning to leave them where they are, running between the springs and the foam) are a "fire in the making" (IMO). I see they're fused, and that may help if a problem erupts downstream of there, but the insulation on the wires ahead of the fuse is going to wear against the spring and eventually short out. When it does, you've got heat, fuel, and oxygen all as bed-partners.

My two cents, but I'd find a way to re-route and protect all that wiring a little better.

Thx again for the pics.
