New tires for the 72 P315/60-15

Got some new back tires for the truck and thought I'd post a few pics just in case someone is interested in the same size tire. The rims are 15X10 with 5 inch backspacing and the tires are M/T ET Streets P315/60-15's.

Re: New tires for the 72 P315/60-15

That looks pretty tough to me. Im a little worried about getting my combo to fit. I bought 15X10 aluminum slots & I think most were 3 1/2 bs & I have 275/60's for them w/6" drop. I guess Ill find out when I get them mounted. Your pics make me want want to get to work on mine. Thanks for posting them...

Thanks for the post. I have a set of 315/60-15 McCreary Dot's from when I raced and was wondering on how they would look/fit and which wheel backspaceing needed. BTW looks GR8! RJ22

Re: New tires for the 72 P315/60-15

Looks great! It looks like the tires are flush with the fenders from the pics. It that correct?
I was just looking into the 315's or 295's for my '72. Problem is, I couldn't find 15x10's with more than 4 or 4.25 BS for 8-bolt wheels. I'm guessing they'd stick out past the fenders with the 315's? The 295's may fit a little better.

How does the truck hook with those tires? How much power & what kind of times do you run?

I love that truck! I was just wondering if you still had it or sold it. I think that is the size of tire I am going to run on my S10. As always looks killer!

That rake looks great on the long bed. I think you changed my mind about the direction I was going.
