Started my resto
I have been browsing around so I thought I would post some pics of where I am at with mine.Replaced the inner and outer rockers, so I set the cab back on with new bushings. I've rounded up all of my sheetmetal so I am going to start the prep for paint.

The boxes are the new short fleet bed and ss bolts and strips.I also need to do a repair on the right fender

The blue is not my doing,I am going black. So I will lift the cab back off to shoot it I've got 7ft fork extensions that make it easy.

I actually have a bedwood kit but I am going to let a buddy use it And I am going to mill my own out of something a little more exotic than oak

Somtimes room is overated. My shop is 5000 sq.ft. And it looks it was hit by a scud missile , can you imagine how long it takes me to clean it up.

I am thinking cocobola or bubinga! CARS4567 gave me a load of some obscure fine grained African hardwood that I swear is nearly as heavy as steel! One coat of marine spar varnish fills the grain and makes it and it look like glass! Rick...I can't wait to see your shop!
I might bring a piece down and you can help me identify it. I think those are the "school bus" hooks.

In my house in wis. i made cedar counter tops and was it ever nice.The cabinets were noty pine. I hated to sell that place but i moved back to central il for my job.Cedar would look cool for a truck bed kind of a soft wood but who would be hauling anything in it anyhow.
