Re: 67 Truck Buckets ?

The only ones I can compare them to are from a pic out of the 67 Panel truck that sold here on the board.

Re: 67 Truck Buckets ?

I would say no (for a factory 67 Truck)... They don't seem to have the right thickness in the back, and the shape of the bottom foam is not the same. Also, there would also been a full seat frame.

the different motorhomes I have looked at had seats like that in them but they were a '69 and a '72.

Re: 67 Truck Buckets ?

Those aren`t "factory" seats, but part of the RV conversion.I think they`re an awesome retro-fit,though.They are meant for these trucks.I`d want them in a truck, for sure. They`re "kinda" original, like saddle tanks,Barton`s bumpers,etc...
I know it`s later and not and Open Road. But GM had a deal with Open Road and they were more or less "Factory".

Re: 67 Truck Buckets ?

I have them in my motorhome. I love them. They would be very cool in a truck because they are on brackets that flip the whole seat forward. Very cool modification to a truck.

Re: 67 Truck Buckets ?

Those seats sure look comfortable Ben.

Is there a console or does the passenger seat tip like a Blazer? I would think maybe no console for acess to the motorhome cabin. There is a 71/72 chassis mounted camper up the road. I will take a look the seats in that. I have a console - either seatbelt or cupholder if your's is missing.

I need to get out looking for truck parts and whole trucks more than I do now - Bob

I wanted Livrat`s Motorhome he was selling a couple or so years back. Those seats look like they`d be better for longleggers.

Re: 67 Truck Buckets ?

Wow - what a group!! Wes, Frank(Pickmup), Americarider, CabinetGuy, Liverat, Stllookin, CG, Leadfoot067, TruckBill, Litemup, my buddy Sticky, and yours truly. All within a 25 mile circle. Not many trucks get past us.

I am about ready to give it up as far as new projects go. I say that but still look for parts and pieces.

The recent post showing Zeekel's 67 Seafaom Green raised 4X4 Shorty has got me going again. It may be time to redo my original 67 3/4T Longbed. I did it back in 93. Might be time to freshen up the old girl. I never quite finished to body work. I haven't driven it over 500 miles in the last 4 years but will be starting again soon.

Kent and the valley are too far for an old man like myself to find my way home. I like going the other way - Bob

I would have to answer that these buckets are original motorhome buckets, as added by the motorhome conversion company. They were not installed by GM. My 68 C30 Open Road had the same ones (very comfy I might add):
