There were 6 lug Dana 60's available in '67 for the 1/2 tons. If the Dana 60 you are looking at is from a 4X4 then it will bolt on to your K5 if it is a 4X4. The 2wd's had a different frame width than the 4X4's. If it is a coil spring rear than you will have to change brackets and mounting pads all together. To check which what it came out of, measure the center to center of the leaf spring pads. 4X4's measure 40" and 2wd's measure 42.5" The shock mount tabs are different as well if it is a 2wd.

Of course once you determine that you will need 8 lug rims and possibly a hybrid u-joint.

I am in the process of putting a Dana 60 out of a 67 GMC C20 into my 71 GMC K10.

Well, the leaf springs on a one ton or any longhorn has the same pad width as a 4X4 does.

most all dana are int he 67-72 3/4 ton, lots of them around, even here and thats sayting soemthing, i know of two right now i oculd go straight to, one laying by the street over on north kickapoo and one under a truck a few blocks from there truck for sale 300, but rusted junk,.

67 shows no availability of 1/2 ton dana 60, but 69 model year does, but only with 435CR tranny with the 396. odds of finding that are verrrryyyyyyyyyyy slim.

odds of finding a 1/2 ton verion with 40" centers is slim also, but very common 3/4 ton 40" center like your blazer is. good luck

My info on the '67 6 lug Dana 60's came from GMC Paul. That was my point that a Dana 60 from a 1 ton or a longhorn would be pretty scarce....possible but scarce. He most likely has one from a regular C20 or K20.
