Best way to bleed new brake lines
I have my new brakes lines installed from the master cylinder to the front brakes. What would be the best way to bleed out all of the air? The master cylinder is new and was bench bled so that much is taken care of. Would it be best to fill up the master and then gravity bleed? Or would it be better to to one corner at a time?

You may have luck opening all four corners and gravitiy bleed them until you see each one dripping....
I have had this work several times, but for the times that it has not, a vacumn bleeder works well!! |

here's how to do it
#1 tool needed a good oil squirt gun take of the master cylinder cap and leave it off , fill the oil gun with brake fluid , use a small clear (MUST BE CLEAR) rubber hose stuck up on the end of the oil gun , loosen one bleeder screw at a time and put the oil gun hose on it , watch the fluid as you pump and don't let the air bubble get in the fluid , go right to left then back again then get the rear same way till the master cylinder is full , get in the truck and drive away ! work's perfect cost's nothing

I always leave the bleeder open and let it gravity bleed and then have someone pump the brake pedal and bleed each side a few times. You won't have to worry about the rear if you didn't replace the rear lines.

It was just the front lines I replaced. I will try the gravity bleed first and go from there.

Start with the one furthest from the M/C. ( do the pass. front, then the drivers front ) Good Luck!!

I installed ONE PERSON BLEEDER SCREWS in my truck that I got from Autozone, these are good if there is no one to help you. With that said it is best to bleed the brakes by starting from the furthest and finishing with the closest to the MC.
Here is the order that I go by: 1. Rear passenger side. 2. Rear driver side. 3. Front passenger side. 4. Front driver side. I never done the gravity bleed, but what ever works is good. Good luck. A.P.

I just used my homemade power bleeder mentioned in Southedisto's reply on my 70 K5 and didn't even have to worry about bench bleeding the master - it is too easy and definitely a 1 person job. Have used it twice and loaned it to a friend - can't beat it.
