front suspention

the bar on the front suspention where the idler arm and pitman arm bolt on opposite ends bends like this

but i don't remember which way it faces it would seem that it bends toward the back but i am not sure.

Both the pitman and idler arm come into the center link from the top. The tie rods enter from the rear. All of these holes are tapered and you can only orient it one way.

hey thanks alot guys i had planned on doing the suspention today but it was raining so i was just going over the parts and trying to fit it together in my mind

It does bend towards the back and you can put it all together backwards......I should know!!

Yes you can put it together backwards but not if the tie rods are coming in from the back of the drag link when in front of the truck. The bend is toward the front of the truck. When it is right there will be about 1/4-3/8 clearance between the front crossmember and the drag link.
