Did a little ridin round Yesterday!

We woke up early saturday and decided to cruise up to the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge. We parked the truck and walked around checking out all the hot rods that were parked anywhere and everywhere. Well I left the camera in the truck so I didn't get to take any pics. I saw tons of 67-72 chevy trucks up there, were there any members lurking around ? We came back through over the Foothills Parkway where I did take a couple pics.

And since the parkway comes out about a mile away from Deal's Gap you know I had to make a pass through there! It was my first time going through there in something besides the Z. It was definitely different but enjoyable just the same. Several of the photographers that work the area where out so maybe I'll have some good rolling shots soon!

Re: Did a little ridin round Yesterday!

There were massive amounts of bikes on the dragon! I eased over to the side several times to let em pass (didn't want to spoil someone elses run). There were two different Mazda clubs making passes through their as well. I saw one Miata that was exactly as wide as a ditch . The guy was OK but the car looked like leftover dammit! Also saw the aftermath of a sportbike gone down. The bike looked a little skinned up and the pilot was kneeling down nursing his shoulder. We even met an 18 wheeler on our way out. The local LEOs had him pulled over for some reason or another.

Wish I'd known you were up Asa. I would've given you a shout. I went cruisin through from about 11:30 till about 1:00. I didn't go to the show or get out of the truck, I just rode through once. Did you think prices on 67-72's were down?

Looks like you had a nice weekend drive.

You came through right at the same time we were there. I think I pulled in the Cracker Barrel right at 11:30 that morning. If anything the prices of the 67-72s were up. I saw a couple of nice maybe above average drivers (older restos) for 22K. Also saw a fresh resto which looked top notch for 29K. I also saw one that was beat all to crap and had aluminum tape holding the rocker together for 5500. Of course prices at the Rod Run are a lot like making a list for Santa, you ask for it all and settle for what you get!
