Vin

I have a 72 Chevy LWB that's 4x4 and a 1/2 ton...everytime I look it up all i can find in that combo is a K10...but it has C10 emblems???? I'm so confused..and the VIN in the glove box is the correct one right? I just bought it a week ago so that's why i'm asking all this...cause here's the VIN from the glove box: CKE142S118264 and i can't get it to match the VIN decoders on this site..help please

Re: Vin

72 was an odd ball year... that first C means Chevy. Ignore that, and you shou;ld be able to decode it properly as a 4X4 V-8 1/2 ton cab with bed, 72, built in St Lius the #18264th truck downthe line.
All trucks had the C badges, and all blazers... even the 2 wheel drive ones, had the K badges.
Retarded huh?
