60-66 vin#

Do anyone know web sites where i can run my vin# and get a little history on my 66. i tryed a few and they were for 81 and newer cars and trucks. thanks...

The vin # is pretty useless when it comes to these trucks.The orginal build sheet or "protecto-plate" is what you really need to tell what is factory or what has been modified.Unfortunately, these were not permanately attached to vehicle. However, 66's had a decal on the inside glove box which listed options installed at factory.

If you have the stock seat, they usually put a build sheet in there before they put the padding on.. It will be on the back side of the seat cushin.. At least Mine was there and now I have it vaccumed sealed and hanging on my cork board...

Call 1-800-222-1020 and get a chevrolet restoration package. Helps to explain codes ect...
