Took my K5 to the park today

Took my K5 to the park today, too bad it wasn't an off-road park. Sadly we don't have anything like that close by.

Had to take a few pics

Did a little photoshop touch ups to get rid of some of the areas needing repair

I am just enjoying the heck out of driving this K5. Not much to look at but to me it's just about perfect

Looks good to me! Good enough to drive, not too good to take in the woods.

It looks good to me too and if you like it, that's all that matters.

31x7.5s - definitely qualify as pizza cutters in my book too
Ya know, they howl just as load as my 35x12.5s on my K20!

Re: Took my K5 to the park today

I noticed that your front axle seems inline with the rear, is there something about the 8 lug hubs that narrow the front in or am I ? Oh and how much lift again?

Just talked to Yukon on his cell phone as he was heading home from work, and the tires was a hummin'! LOL!

Re: Took my K5 to the park today

Yep, they were hummin' barn9, then I started to turn onto my dirt road and it didn't quite make the full turn. Well, made the turn but it was a very wide turn. Didn't feel right so I hopped out and my tie rod had come off on the drivers side - thank goodness it did that right on my drive rather than out on the highway!

Jtrux, the lift is 4" front springs and the rear axle has custom perches and 2" blocks to level it out.

I think it looks good - it sure beats most of the trucks I see in Ohio...

I sold one that was in the same shape/condition as yours, can't explain it but it was just plain fun to drive that one.

Great to see ya running around in it.

Looks good. Remember those cotterpins are there for a reason. I can't wait til my project is driveable again.
