turbo 350 in 65?

Hey all
Need a little help, I am going to install a 350 tranny behind my 230, came with a 3 speed, will it bolt right up or do I need a adapter of some kind? also do I need a short shaft or long,truck is a short stepper. I am going to put a lokar shifter in the floor. Thanks all

350 will bolt up, mine is a 66 short step and had to go long tail. You need the correct flex plate(for the 6) and might have to modify the crossmember but it's worth the trouble...To be "shiftless"

The 230 and 250 have the same bolt pattern as the small blocks and all automatics will bolt right up after dumping the flywheel for a flexplate. The manual transmission frame has a bellhousing crossmember that is rivited to the frame which needs to be removed, and an automatic crossmember needs to be found.The frame was pre-drilled out for a powerglide,so if you use a 350, you may have to drill out holes in different locations.Parking brake may also have to be readjusted, since it is connected to the automatic crossmember.
