Re: what should i do ???
I've thought about putting a cover over the holes back there and a fire extinguisher on one side then maybe a jack on the other for the spare tire.

You could make it out of anything you wanted. I haven't gotten that far with my project but either using fiberglass and wood you could build something.

Re: what should i do ???
mount the fire exstingquisher using the hole on the passenger side, IMO itll look cool sittin there, and putting a jack back in the corner wouldnt be to bad of an idea, atlest if you have a spare tire to

I think if you did a search you can see some of what others have done with the speakers there. I think I saw 1 or 2 different trucks some time ago. Maybe do a search on stereo systems or subwoofer box. Mike EDIT: Here is one - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...firewall+holes Last edited by BigMike; 04-30-2007 at 02:49 AM. |

Re: what should i do ???
if you put a fire ext there... then i feel sorryfor the poor sap that would ride in the passenger seat.
Just put some stock factory plugs in there and you'll never notice them again. |

Re: what should i do ???
How about some 3 point seat belts
Face plants into the steering wheel or dash hurt like hell. I know from experience

Re: what should i do ???
I don't think they are made through the aftermarket... but every truck either had a plug there, or a bolt for the seat belt, so I doubt thry'd be too hard to locate.

Re: what should i do ???
If you find a parts guy that will use a book, he can get you some small chrome cap type plugs that would work awesome.

Re: what should i do ???
SCHROTH makes 4-point harnesses that are DOT approved.
I agree with Andy on using factory plugs. It's cheap, easy, and looks great.

Re: what should i do ???
I'd still look into it, and read the DOT certification on that, it's not a blanket coverage.
